The situation
The bed was ready at the West Elm warehouse but the customer had no way to move two long boxes, and the building is a second-floor walk-up with a switchback stair.
The old metal frame had to go the same day so the new bed had somewhere to sit.
What the crew did
Boxes collected on the customer's order number, pad-wrapped and stood on edge to clear the stair turn.
Frame assembled in the bedroom with the hardware in the box, slats seated, headboard bolted and levelled. Old frame and all packaging left with the truck.
How it turned out
Delivery, assembly and removal on one order, so mileage was charged once and the customer slept on the new bed that night.
