Last updated: April 22, 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically when you use the Site, and information from trusted third parties.

Information you provide includes:

  • Contact details — name, email address, phone number, and service addresses you submit through booking, estimate, contact, or chat forms.
  • Account information — email and password (stored hashed) when you create an account, plus profile details you choose to add.
  • Booking details — pickup and dropoff addresses, scheduled date and time, service type (moving, junk removal, delivery, assembly), inventory descriptions, and any notes or special instructions.
  • Payment information — collected and processed by our PCI-compliant payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Communications — messages you send through chat, email, SMS, or our contact form.
  • Information collected automatically — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, approximate location derived from IP, and cookie identifiers.
  • Information from third parties — address autocomplete suggestions (Mapbox), authentication providers if you sign in with a third-party account, analytics platforms, and service partners that help us deliver your move.

2. Use of Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, schedule, and complete the moving, hauling, delivery, or assembly services you book.
  • Create and manage your account and authenticate access to it.
  • Communicate with you about bookings, estimates, crew arrival times, changes, receipts, and follow-up.
  • Process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Respond to inquiries, requests, and support tickets.
  • Improve the Site, our services, and the booking experience.
  • Send service updates, promotions, and marketing communications you have not opted out of.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms & Conditions, and protect the rights, property, and safety of Diamond Hands, our customers, and the public.

3. Why We Need Your Personal Information

We need your information to deliver the services you request — for example, we cannot dispatch a crew without your service address, and we cannot send you a receipt without your email. We also use limited information to operate, secure, and improve our business.

Where required by law (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act), we will only process your information for the purposes disclosed in this policy or for purposes that are compatible with them.

4. Sharing of Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

  • Crew and contractors — assigned movers, drivers, and assemblers receive the booking details necessary to complete your service (name, contact, addresses, scheduled time, notes).
  • Service providers — payment processors, hosting and database providers, mapping and address-autocomplete providers (Mapbox), email and SMS providers, analytics providers, and customer-support tools, each bound by contract to use the information only to deliver services to us.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Diamond Hands, our customers, employees, contractors, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business; you will be notified before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • With your consent — for any other purpose disclosed to you and authorized by you.

5. Third-Party Websites

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services that are not operated by Diamond Hands. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site before providing personal information.

6. Security of Your Information

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access controls, and PCI-compliant payment processing.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential.

7. Dispute Resolution — Arbitration Agreement

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy, your use of the Site, or our services shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS in San Diego, California, in accordance with its Streamlined Arbitration Rules.

You and Diamond Hands each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual-property or confidentiality matters. Nothing in this section prevents you from filing a complaint with a government agency.

8. Jurisdiction and Visitors Outside the U.S.

The Site is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. By using the Site, you consent to that transfer and processing.

9. Opting Out of Further Communication

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by emailing support@dhmove.com. You may opt out of marketing SMS by replying STOP to any message.

We will continue to send transactional communications related to your bookings (such as crew arrival notifications, receipts, and account-security alerts) even after you opt out of marketing.

10. Compliance with State and Federal Laws

We comply with applicable U.S. federal and state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@dhmove.com from the email address associated with your account or include enough information for us to verify your identity. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.

11. Policy for Children

The Site and our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact support@dhmove.com.

12. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with our legal obligations (including tax, accounting, and insurance requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

13. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) to operate the Site, remember your preferences, authenticate your account, measure performance, and improve the booking experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may break parts of the Site.

14. Changes to This Policy
