How do I check your license status?
Household-goods mover permits in California moved from the CPUC to the Bureau of Household Goods and Services (BHGS) on July 1, 2018 (CPUC notice). Use the official BHGS lookup, search for permit number Cal-T-0192847 or our legal business name, confirm the name and number match, and check the status shown there.
What's covered if something is damaged?
Coverage, valuation, limits and exclusions depend on the written agreement for your job and the applicable policy. Before booking, ask us for the current certificates and the valuation options available for your move, and read them alongside your booking terms.
Are crew members W-2 employees?
Yes. Every Diamond Hands crew member is a W-2 employee covered by California workers' compensation. We do not use day-laborers or 1099 contractors on jobs.
What is the surety bond?
We list a $50K surety bond from Old Republic Surety. A surety bond is a financial guarantee written by a third party; its terms and any claim process are set by the bond itself. Ask us for the current bond document if you need it.
