The problem

Moving companies say no to one item. We say when.

Call a traditional San Diego moving company about a single dresser and you'll get quoted a two- or three-hour minimum, a travel fee, and a window three days out. That math never works for one piece of furniture.

We priced this service specifically for one-item jobs. The rate is set by the item's weight tier, mileage is billed from mile one at $2/mile, and there is no hourly clock to watch. If a second piece rides along, it's added at the discounted extra-piece rate because the crew is already on-site.

FAQ

Single item moving in San Diego — questions we get.

Will movers move just one piece of furniture in San Diego?

Most full-service moving companies won't — they price around half-day or full-day minimums. We're built the other way around: one item is a normal job for us. You pay a flat rate based on that item's weight tier plus $2 per mile, and nothing else.

How much does it cost to move one item in San Diego?

A single item under 100 lbs starts at $120. Items in the 100–200 lb range (most sofas, mattresses and dressers) are $240, and 200–300 lb pieces are $340. Anything above 300 lbs is $2 per pound. Mileage is $2 per mile from the first mile.

Can you move a single item up or down stairs?

Yes. Stairs, tight hallways, elevators and walk-ups are part of the job, not an upcharge line. Tell us the floor and whether there's an elevator when you book so we send the right crew and equipment.

Do you move one item between two homes, or only from stores?

Both. Home-to-home, apartment-to-apartment, storage unit to home, seller to your place — anywhere inside San Diego County. The price depends on the item's weight and the driving distance, not on the type of address.

Can you take my old piece away on the same trip?

Yes. Add disposal to the same order and the crew removes the old item while they're delivering the new one, so you're only paying one trip charge.
