Who this is for

Small moves are a different job. We treat them that way.

Full-service movers are built around 8-hour crews and multi-truck days. When your whole move is a bed, a couch, and fifteen boxes, that model charges you for capacity you never use. Here's what we actually handle.

Studio & one-bedroom apartments

Bed, dresser, sofa, table, and a dozen boxes. Loaded, driven, and placed in the right rooms — typically a two-to-three-hour job for our crew, priced by the piece rather than the clock.

Dorm & student moves

UCSD, SDSU, USD and Point Loma move-in and move-out. Mini-fridge, mattress topper, desk, and bins. We work the loading-zone windows so you don't get ticketed.

Single-room moves

A home office, a nursery, or a guest room heading to a new address while the rest of the house stays put. Only what you point at gets loaded.

Storage unit runs

Unit to apartment, apartment to unit, or unit to unit. We handle the dolly work down the corridor and the elevator queue at the facility.

Partial moves

You're taking the big stuff and a friend has the rest. We move the pieces that need two people and a truck, and leave the boxes to you.

Move-out cleanouts

Moving the keepers to the new place and hauling the rest away in the same booking, so you hand back an empty unit on the same day.

How pricing works

No clock. No minimum.

Your first piece is a flat rate set by its weight tier. Every additional piece on the same trip is discounted, because the truck and the crew are already there. Mileage runs $2 per mile from the first mile — that's the whole formula.

  • First piece from $120 — set by weight tier
  • Extra pieces from $25 each on the same trip
  • $2/mile from mile one — no travel-fee padding
  • Assembly available at $100/hr, first 15 minutes free with delivery
  • Unwanted items hauled away on the same booking
  • Damage protection up to $1M

A typical studio move

Here's how a real one-bedroom job adds up so you can sanity-check your own list.

  • Queen mattress + frame (first piece, 100–200 lbs)$240
  • Sofa (extra piece)$100
  • Dresser (extra piece)$100
  • Dining table + chairs (extra piece)$100
  • 8 miles across town$16

FAQ

Small moves in San Diego — questions we get.

What counts as a small move?

Anything under a full household: a studio or one-bedroom apartment, a single room, a dorm, an office, a partial move where only the big pieces go, or emptying a storage unit. If you can list the items on one hand, it's a small move.

Do you charge an hourly minimum for small moves?

No. We price each piece by its weight tier — a first item under 100 lbs is $120, and each additional piece on the same trip is discounted from $25. Mileage is $2 per mile from mile one. There is no hourly clock, so a slow elevator doesn't cost you money.

Can you do a small move on the same day I call?

Usually, yes. We run same-day windows seven days a week across San Diego County. Same-day slots fill first thing in the morning, so booking earlier in the day gives you the best window options.

Will you move boxes as well as furniture?

Yes. Boxes ride along with your furniture on the same trip. Group them by weight when you book so the estimate is accurate — a stack of book boxes weighs more than a whole dresser.

Can you clear out a storage unit and deliver to my apartment?

That's one of the most common small moves we run. We meet you at the unit, load everything, and place it inside your apartment — not at the door. Anything you don't want to keep can be hauled away on the same trip.
