How a swap works
Four things happen while we're there.
1. We pick the new piece up
Store dock, warehouse, Marketplace seller or storage unit. You don't have to be there for the pickup.
2. We place it
Carried to the actual room, upstairs included. No stair fee, no long-carry fee, packaging leaves with us.
3. We build it
Assembly happens on the same visit. The first 15 minutes are free when it's bundled with a delivery.
4. The old one goes
Same crew, same truck, same trip. Donation-first routing for anything still usable, recycling next, landfill last.
What a swap costs
Three swaps we run every week.
Delivery is a flat rate by the weight of the new piece. Removal is a flat rate by the weight of what leaves. Mileage is $2/mile from mile one — charged once, because it's one trip.
Couch swap
New couch collected from the store, carried in and placed — old couch taken away the same visit.

Do you deliver new furniture and take the old furniture away?
Yes — that's the One Trip Furniture Swap and it's what we're built around. One crew picks up your new piece, carries it into the room, assembles it if it needs it, and loads the old piece onto the same truck before they leave. One booking, one arrival window, one flat price.
How much does furniture delivery with haul-away cost in San Diego?
Delivery in San Diego is a flat rate by item weight and starts at $120: 0–100 lbs is $120, 100–200 lbs is $240, 200–300 lbs is $340, and anything over 300 lbs is $2/lb. Mileage is $2/mile from mile one. You see the exact total in the booking form before you confirm. Disposal is priced by the weight of what leaves and starts at $150: 0–150 lbs is $150, 150–250 lbs is $240, and 250+ lbs is $2/lb plus a $100 landfill fee per 300 lbs. Send photos and you'll have the exact total before the truck rolls. A swap is simply the two priced on one booking, so you pay one trip instead of two.
Can you deliver a new couch and remove the old couch on the same day?
Yes. Couch swaps are the most common job we run and they fit into a single two-hour window. Text photos of the new couch, the old couch and the doorway, and we'll quote the whole swap before you book.
Can you deliver a mattress and take the old mattress away?
Yes. We bring the new mattress to the bedroom and set it on your frame, then bag the old one, carry it out and route it to a recycler or a charity. Box springs and bed frames can go on the same trip at the discounted extra-piece rate.
Is a swap cheaper than booking delivery and removal separately?
Yes, because the crew and the truck are already at your address. You pay one mileage charge instead of two and one arrival, and every extra piece on the same trip is discounted rather than priced as a fresh job.
What happens to my old furniture?
Donation first where the piece is still usable, recycling next, landfill last. A $100 landfill fee per 300 lbs applies only where an item genuinely has to be dumped — damaged, soiled or non-donatable pieces.
Do you charge extra for stairs or a second-floor apartment?
No. There's no stair fee and no long-carry fee, on either half of the swap. The flat rate by weight covers carrying the new piece up and the old piece down.
Does assembly cost extra on a swap?
Assembly in San Diego is $100/hour, billed in 15-minute increments. The first 15 minutes are free when it's on the same visit as a delivery; standalone assembly has a 1-hour minimum.
How is mileage charged?
Mileage in San Diego is $2/mile from mile one, measured on the actual road route between pickup and drop-off and shown in your quote before you book.
