The situation
The table shipped flat as a top plus a two-part trestle base and weighed well over 300 lbs assembled. The customer's warehouse pickup window was tight, and the home had polished stone floors that could not be dragged on.
Assembly on a table like this is not optional — the top has to be aligned and bolted to the base in place, because the assembled table will not fit through the doorway.
What the crew did
We collected from the North County warehouse, blanket-wrapped the top, and strapped the base separately.
Floor protection went down before anything came inside. The base was built in the dining room, the top set and bolted, and the whole thing levelled against an uneven floor with shims.
Crating and hardware waste left with us.
How it turned out
Assembled, levelled, and in place in one visit. Over 300 lbs, delivery is priced by actual weight rather than a tier, so a heavy solid-wood piece is quoted honestly rather than lumped into a guess.
