The situation
The customer was moving locally and a full-service mover quoted a whole-truck minimum just for three gym items. The squat rack could not go through a door assembled.
The Peloton screen and drive belt needed to travel protected, not strapped flat against steel.
What the crew did
Rack disassembled into uprights and crossmembers, hardware bagged and labelled. Peloton wrapped separately with the screen padded.
At the Carlsbad garage the rack was rebuilt, bolts torqued, and the bike positioned and levelled on the concrete.
How it turned out
A three-item job priced as a three-item job. Over-300-lb pieces are priced by actual weight, so a steel rack is not billed like a household move.
Rebuild time was billed as assembly, with the first 15 minutes free because it happened on the same trip.
